Areas - Sports

The Sports Department is in charge of promoting and encouraging sports in our municipality and managing municipal sports facilities. Its objectives are:

– Promote and organize sports activities to contribute to the recreation and comprehensive training of the population through a varied range of programs and proposals, which respond to the needs and expectations of all interest groups, thus raising their quality of life. .
– Be a service in a continuous process of improvement, recognized and a reference for the quality and variety of its offer and facilities.
– Prepare an annual sports program (events, activities, courses, entity training, official championships, local leagues).
– Manage and organize municipal sports facilities.
– Inform and guide for the creation of new sports entities.
– Process registrations for Sports Games of the Valencian Community.
– Organize, support and inform about sporting events in our municipality and also those organized in our region, especially those promoted by the Consorci Esportiu de la Marina Alta (Cema), of which the City Council is a member.
