The CEIP Santa María Magdalena de Benitatxell will hold a solidarity race in favor of Condenados al Curb and the CPEE Gargasindi

  • Next Tuesday, December 5, the entire educational community will run through La Pau, Mayor and Mercat streets for a good cause

The students of the CEIP Santa María Magdalena of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell continue to demonstrate for another year their most supportive and empathetic side. Next Tuesday, December 5, the preschool and primary school has organized a solidarity race whose benefits will go to the Gasgasindi Public School of Special Education in Calp (temporarily transferred to Benissa) and the Condenados al Curb association.

The test, with different routes depending on ages, will be held on La Pau, Mayor and Mercat streets starting at 11:45 a.m. Schoolchildren, teachers, family members and all people who want to collaborate can participate.

It should be noted that the classes have participated in some different aspect of the organization, such as the formal request of 3º A to the City Council for the collaboration of the security media (Local Police and Civil Protection), the request of 4º B from the journalist and photographer of the town hall to cover the event, the preparation of a news item by the third cycle of primary school or a poster to publicize the sporting event that was chosen through a contest called for all grades and whose author is Rubí Sáenz.

Condenados al Bordillo is a regional association whose main objective is to achieve the inclusion of people with functional diversity. Currently, it carries out a series of projects aimed at people with disabilities to enhance all their development possibilities in an environment that is as normalized as possible.

The CPEE Gargasindi is an educational center whose purpose is the full inclusion of its students with special needs so that they benefit from normalized environments in interaction with their peers. As a specific center, they are committed to offering a quality educational response adapted to the individual needs of the students.

The mayor, Miguel Ángel García, and the councilors of Education and Sports, Jorge Pascual and Javi Cabrera, have highlighted the “excellent” values of the CEIP Santa María Magdalena students. “It is very important that all citizens get involved and become aware of the importance of collaborating with entities that help improve the well-being of people with special needs or functional diversity. This activity says a lot about your values as people, and it is a source of pride for our people to have supportive and empathetic boys and girls who put themselves in the shoes of others.”
