Greetings from the Councilor for Communication and New Technologies
Dear friends,
I am pleased to present to you, after several months of work, the new municipal website. A website that demonstrates my commitment to developing a close communication plan that conveys the day-to-day life of municipal management to all residents. For this we have given it an agile and attractive design as well as easy and intuitive user management. My premise is to inform everyone and everything. For this reason, I have advocated for a website that communicates in both Valencian and Spanish, in addition to English and German. Let us not forget that communication is also integration. And only information without language barriers can promote the integration of residents. I think that if neighbors are informed, they will be much more participatory and will be a much more active part of the community.
A key objective that I set for myself from the moment I started working in the Department of Communication and New Technologies was to strengthen, through open, generous and unobstructed information, the ties that unite us as a people. For this reason, we have activated a transparency portal so that citizens can consult all public information in a more accessible and simple way. I am aware that my department requires a lot of responsibility, also that it is one of the most important in a city council, since it encompasses all departments. My duty is, therefore, to guarantee that each and every one of the citizens of the municipality is aware of all the steps taken in municipal management. I understand communication as an impartial and transparent transmission belt that transfers to the neighbor all the work that is carried out in the town hall.
What I want now is for citizens to make this website their own, to become familiar with it and to consult the publications and news daily. All the information managed on the website is complemented by the printed magazine Al Corrent, which is distributed free of charge at home, and the social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, App...) that are also managed by the Communication Department. Social networks are the nerves of information, those responsible for energizing information with their fast, dynamic and direct platforms. All these information tools aimed at different citizen profiles guarantee that no one can feel cut off or isolated.
My goal during the current term as Councilor for Communication and New Technologies is to continue working on an interactive communication plan that embraces neighbors. I want them to feel supported by the municipal institution, to understand that the city council is already a close and accessible institution. I would like my work to make them feel that we are closer to them than we have ever been before.
